Angel Falls now offers real time online reservation and payment in cooperation with most of the operators and service providers in Canaima, this has been an import innovation and great help to the local community since communication to this part of the world still is complicated and lonesome, enjoy the new beta portal that is continually under development. The Canaima National Park Located at the confluence of the Carrao and hacha rivers, it is one of the world's natural wonders. It's one of those places that everyone should try to see once in their lifetime. It's very different from the other famed waterfalls of the world: Niagara, Victoria, and Iguassu. Not only is it distinct in its incredible height of more than 3195 feet. 20 times the height of Iguassu and Niagara, respectively. It is also distinct in its amazing setting: The falls originates from the top of vertical cliff of the Auyantepui table mountain with its verdant rain forest below. Seeing the falls by air is spectacular. It is also important to see it by land. After a boat ride of varying lengths (depending upon place of departure), you will need to hike for roughly an hour and a half through the jungle. It is amazing to find no trash, no signs, no plaques, and very few other tourists. Towards the end of the trail lies a fantastic vantage point of the bottom and top of the falls. |

Caracas, Dec 20 (RBV.info) .- The president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, renamed the Angel Falls, which is contained in the books as the tallest waterfall in the world, to designate it as their ancestral indigenous name "Churún Meru. "The name is Churún-meru, is the name of the Indians. Even if I say what I'm told the embittered, I change the name Salto Angel to Churún Angel-meru. Let no one say Angel Falls, for Chavez it is Churún-meru, please learn that, "he said.
He noted that the ancestral name belong to the indigenous of this part of the World. "What I am saying is the truth," Chavez said in his Sunday broadcast program "Hello President.
The waterfall has a height of 990 meters, with a un interupted fall, generated by a rushing rivers. Established as a National Park on 12 June 1962 and declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994, extends over an area of 30,000 km2, to the borders with Guyana and Brazil.
